FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Hi, I'm so glad you're here. Whether you're still deciding or you've already placed an order — thank you, truly. This is where I answer the questions I get asked most, so you can skip the guesswork and get to the fun part: making something you love. Everything I sell is a digital template you personalise yourself, then print or send however suits you. Can't find your answer below? Use our shop chat — the bubble in the bottom corner — to message me, and I'll reply personally. That's Sarah, by the way.

First: is your template a Corjl or a Canva template?

The two editors work differently, so the answer to "how do I edit this?" depends on which one your template uses. You'll find it in the listing description and in the instructions PDF you download after buying.

Corjl — the editor behind most of our templates, and the one I recommend when you want it easy. It runs in your browser with nothing to install, and you've got real freedom to make it yours: edit the text, pick from 200+ fonts, change colours, add your own photos — all at no extra cost. You log in with your order number from any device, your edits save as you go, and there's a safety net the whole way — reset to the original anytime, and because I can log in too, I can step in and help if you ever get stuck.

Canva — used for our stained glass, video, and website templates, where it's the right tool for the job. It's free to use; you'll just handle a little more of the setup yourself, and I'm not able to log in and fix a Canva design the way I can with a Corjl one.

Getting started & buying

What do I actually receive?

A digital template you edit yourself — no physical item is posted to you. After checkout you download a PDF with your editing link and instructions. From there you personalise the template, then print it or send it digitally.

I bought on Etsy — where do I download my files?

Log in to Etsy in a web browser, not the Etsy app — the app doesn't allow template downloads. Then go to Your account → Purchases & reviews, find your order, and download the attached PDF. Open the PDF and follow the link to your editor.

Do I need an account to buy?

It depends where you're shopping. On Etsy, you check out through your Etsy account as usual. On marryful.org you can check out as a guest with no account needed — though creating one saves your details and order history for next time.

How long can I access my template?

Corjl templates stay open for editing and downloading for six months. That window isn't me rushing you — it's purely a security measure to protect the designs from being misused by other resellers. If you need access again after that, just message me and I'll sort it out.

Can I edit on my phone?

You can, but a computer is easier and more reliable for anything fiddly. Corjl works on a phone if you log in through a browser. Canva editing is possible on the app but the desktop version gives you the most control — we recommend it for video and website templates especially.

What's your refund policy on digital templates?

Because every item is an instant digital download, sales are generally final — but if something isn't working, tell us. We'd much rather fix it than leave you stuck. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page.

Editing your template

How do I edit a Corjl template?

Open the link in your instructions PDF, or go straight to corjl.com/orders and sign in with your order number and any email you can access — it doesn't have to be the one you checked out with. Then just click a text box and type your details, swap fonts and colours, and add your own photos — and if anything ever looks off, reset to the original in a click. See the full editing walkthrough →

What if I make a mistake in Corjl?

Nothing is permanent. You can reset any element — or the whole template — back to the original design at any time, so feel free to experiment.

How do I edit and download a multi-page template?

Edit each page, then make sure you select all pages when you download so nothing gets left behind — this trips people up most often with place cards and multi-page suites. Here's the step-by-step →

How do I access and edit a Canva template?

Download your PDF from Etsy in a web browser (not the app), open it, and copy the full Canva link — everything from https:// to the end. Paste it into your browser, sign in to Canva (a free account is fine), and click "Use template" to save your own editable copy.

You can change the wording, fonts, colours, text size and placement. Most graphics can be moved and resized; some are locked for colour to keep the design looking right.

Do I need Canva Pro?

No. Everything works on a free Canva account.

How do video invitation templates (Canva) work?

Open the Canva template, edit the text and event details, then download it as a video (MP4) or a still image (JPG) — whichever suits how you're sending it. They're sized 1080 × 1920 px, made to look great full-screen on a phone.

Send the file by text or email, or use it on Evite, Paperless Post, social media, or a wedding website.

How do website + RSVP templates (Canva) work?

Your PDF gives you two links: the Canva website template and a Google Forms RSVP template. Edit the website in Canva, then publish it and share the link with guests.

For RSVPs: open the Google Form link, click "Make a copy," customise it, then go to Settings and make sure "Accepting responses" is on. Click Send → link icon → Copy link, and paste that link onto the RSVP button in Canva. Always send yourself a test RSVP first and check it lands in the form's "Responses" tab before you share with guests.

Making & assembling your pieces

How do I edit and print place cards?

Start with your longest name and adjust the font size until it fits, then duplicate that card for each guest and swap the names — that way they all stay consistent. Select all pages when you download. Full place card guide →

How do I make table numbers for every table?

Edit one card so the size and position look right, then duplicate it and change the number for each table. If your design is double-sided, print at 100% scale and ask for double-sided printing so the fronts and backs line up. Corjl Prints, Prints of Love, or a local print shop all handle double-sided cardstock well — a home printer can too if you flip carefully.

How do I assemble envelope liners?

Slide the liner into the open envelope, fold the envelope flap down to crease it, then open the flap and add double-sided tape or glue to the top triangle only. Close the flap to seal. See the illustrated steps →

How do I make a faux stained glass sign?

This one's a DIY tracing guide, not a print-only sign. Print the template at 100% scale, tape it behind a clear acrylic sheet or glass panel, trace the lines with a black paint marker or glass liner, then fill each section with glass paint or gallery glass colours (Plaid Gallery Glass works well). Let it dry and display it near natural light.

No special tools needed — just the printed template, a black marker or liner, and glass paint. You can find clear acrylic at Amazon, Home Depot, Lowe's, or a craft store. See the full project guide →
